He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Wonnacott and Muriel Wonnacott (Johnston); and his siblings, Ron Wonnacott (Eloise), Joy (Wonnacott) and Becker (Lorne).

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Wonnacott (Ellwood); his children, Rebecca Wonnacott, Cecilia Maynard (Ed), Dan Wonnacott, Matt Wonnacott (Cat), Kit Swartzentruber (Dan), Marion Wonnacott (Matt) and David Wonnacott (Kristine); his grandchildren, Soren, Seth, Nathan (Kat), Paloma, Evangeline, Emily, June, Graham, Kurt, Felix, Calvin, Sophie and Elliott; and his siblings, Paul Wonnacott (Donna), Alma (Wonnacott) and Scovil (Peter).
