He was predeceased by: his sister Adeline Sumpter. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Matthew Garden (Jennifer Penney-Garden) of Ottawa and Jennifer Garden (James Dolan) of Toronto; and his grandson Jonah Garden of Ottawa.
