She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald G. Van Velzer; her sister Joan Walker; and her parents, Ivan Walker and Audrey Walker. She is survived by: her children, Michael Van Velzer (Katarina), Cathy Saumure (Raymond), Scott Van Velzer (Angela), Steven Van Velzer (Andrea) and Doug Van Velzer (Brescia); her grandchildren, Taylor, Dax, Romy, Sianna, Colin, Sadie, Josie, Zack, Allegra, Sarah and Luke; and her siblings, Robert Walker (late Elizabeth), Kenneth Walker, Janet Dilling (Larry) and James Walker (late Caren).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sifton Funeral Home (118 Wellington St, St Thomas, ON N5R2R2). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at the Elmdale Memorial Park (190 Wilson Ave, St Thomas, ON N5R3R3).
