He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Rogers and Beatrice Rogers; his child Russell Carl Rogers; and his brother Philip Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Rogers; his children, Stephen Rogers (Michelle), Patricia Hartley (late Thomas), Pamela Dann (Tim), James Rogers (Sylvia) and Jacqueline Bryan (Neil); his grandchildren, James McLeod (Aimee), Justin McLeod, Christine Hartley (James), Jessica Dann, Chase Bryan, Shane Bryan, Lucas Rogers, Melissa Rogers, Dale McCutcheon (Fred) and Scott Hartley (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Cameron Kotila, Liam McLeod, Renley McLeod, Jay Rock and Madison McCutcheon.

Those wishing to donate in memory of Steve are asked to consider any children's organization because children lit up his life. Other causes that would be meaningful are the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, or becoming a blood donor, as blood has kept him alive over the last year.
