He was predeceased by: his parents, William Walker and Irene Walker; his wives, Charlotte (Jackson) and Sherry (Westbrook); and his siblings, Ray Walker and Jean Walker.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Hoover (Randy) and Gordon Walker (Tina); his stepchildren, Laurie Amiruddin (Ayube), Lynn Bennett (Adam) and Sarah Faulds (Zach); his brother Robert Walker (Irene); and his grandchildren, Lindsey (Cameron), Andrew (Jen), Amanda (Mikal), Evan, Tyler, Austen, Marcus, Sophie, Anela and Audrey. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

Memorial donations can be made to Burns Presbyterian Church, Mosa or St. Joseph's Hospice of London.
