He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eleanor Jane Lucas "The Plum"; his daughters, Karen Lucas (Mike Witt) and Susan Fisher (James); his grandchildren, Brock Fisher, Cole Witt and Claire Witt; his parents, Dorothy Frances and Charles Bawden Hazel Lucas "Bud"; and his siblings, Ronald Lucas (Beverly), Keith Lucas (Joan), David Lucas (Linda), Joyce Nevin (Glen), Sharon Bidtnes (Toby), Judy Mackey (John), Bonnie Brammer, Debbie McGuire (Joe), Valerie Gough, Terry Lucas and Elizabeth Mann. He was also cherished by his cousins, nieces, and nephews.
