It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Ketelaars (London, Ontario), who passed away on August 23, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Ketelaars to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lauran Ketelaars and Nellie Ketelaars; and his siblings, Henk and Nellie of Groot-Boersma. He is survived by: his child Shawn; and his siblings, John, Larry, Ian, Hennie van Kessel, Sepha Ascroft-Leigh, Engelina Haehnel and Maria Grant.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robertus Ketelaars to the London Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated by the family.

“I have known Barry/Bear/Robert for 50 years. We both had a love of motorcycles which never faded. Bear loved dressing up in his Western gear; hats, boots, outback oilskin duster coat. He used to say that he was born in the wrong century, but he was a Trekki, too, so, which century is the question. Bear loved his son Shawn. He worried about him all the time.
