He was predeceased by: his grandson Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Ilse; his children, Morrell and Richard Rutherford (Maricel); and his grandchildren, Cullen, Garrett McCurrach and Liam Rutherford. He is also survived by friends, children, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's memory to either the Men's Mission or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

“I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Over many years, he was a good friend to my late father, Ray Hillier. Bob was a kind and thoughtful man - one of the select few my father held close to his heart. Over the years, he and his wife Ilse would join our family for birthday's and other special events and celebrate together. I was also witness to their enduring friendship when Bob (Sudsy) visited my father in the last months of his life. It meant a lot. My sincere condolences Ilse.”
