He was predeceased by: his sister Dorothy Payette (Leonard). He is survived by: his wife Irene; and his siblings, Normand, Gilles Brunet (Carol), Lucille Deschamps (Roma), Yolande Bécotte (Pierre) and Venise Laughlin (Wayne). He is also survived by nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Donations would be appreciated to St. Joseph Hospice in London, Ontario in Richard's memory.
