He was predeceased by: his daughter Melanie Dawn Loftus; his siblings, Patricia Robertson, Ted Loftus, Norma Tinkler and Irene Loftus; and his nephew Eric Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Shepherd (Brett), Shannon Loftus (David), Pearl Loftus and Kimberly Richter (Ray); and his grandchildren, Mason, Myles, Theo, Henry, Justin, Paul and Garreth.
