He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Cogan and Anne Cogan (Egan); and his brother Ken Cogan. He is survived by: his wife Sharon (McDonald); his children, Ted Cogan of Guelph, Michael Cogan (Stephanie) of Nova Scotia and Andrea Cogan of Nova Scotia; his siblings, Connie Kendziora (Guy) of Nova Scotia, Erin Cogan (Bev) of Nova Scotia and Kieran Cogan (Tink) of New Brunswick; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Cogan of Nova Scotia, Rick McDonald (Liz) of London, Ron McDonald (Brenda) of St. Mary and Shellie McDonald (Kevin Gregg) of Guelph. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
