He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Thomas Barnes and Marie Margaret Barnes (Labbe). He is survived by: his children, Lisa (Brian), Tammy (Robin), Eddie (Jody), Nickey (Adam), Birdie (Josh), Carolyn and Debi; his son-in-law Shawn; his grandchildren, Andy (Heather), Becky, Jay, Justin, Sydney, Preston, Mason and Kyanna; his great grandchildren, Zhayn and Jaxon; his grandchild Bennet; his niece Lisa; his nephews, Rob (Anna) and Gary (Francine); his sister Marie Joan Lowe (Terry); and his children, Denise and Francis.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
