He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Sharma; and his parents, Bishan Swaroop and Satyawati Sharma. He is survived by: his child Leela Sharma (Steve Gensens); his grandchildren, Madi and Logan Gensens; his siblings, Pramod Sharma (Raj) and Manju Tripathi; his sibling-in-law Ishwar Dayal Sharma; and his nieces and nephews, Ashish Tripathi (Dipti), Nidhi Kush Prachi Dutt (Deepak), Priyanka Sahni (Rajiv), Shashank Sharma (Monika), Shikha Gupta (Tarun) and Deepti Shukla (Achin).
