He was predeceased by: his brothers-in-law, Steve and Frank Kucera. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Kucera-Rose; his sons, Gary Rose (Sarah Chase) and Steven Rose (Tanya Reymer); his grandson Peter Rose; and his siblings, Brian Rose (late Beni) and Linda Leslie (Gord). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to London Health Sciences Foundation, Salvation Army, London Humane Society or Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation.
