He was predeceased by: his parents, Gunter Herrmann and Nelly Herrmann; his son William Herrmann (Bill); and his grandsons, Connor Matsi (Bob), Dustin Herrmann and Mike Shawnoo.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sally Macphee (Troy), Cindy Matsi and Deb Shawnoo (Sid); and his sister Barbara Vansluytman (Gerry). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren as well as many more extended family members and friends.
