He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Charyl "Cheri" Pittman (Goff); his sons, Melvin and Norman; and his parents, George Pittman and Clara Pittman. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
