He was predeceased by: his wife Blanche Elizabeth Essey; and his siblings, Lloyd, Jimmy, Stan and Helen.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Craig (Steven) and Bill Essey; his grandsons, Matthew (Kelly), Daniel (Sara) and Jeffrey (Heather); and his great grandchildren, Connor, Evan, Carter and Lincoln.
