“I was saddened to learn of the passing of your Mom, after reading my Christmas card from Audrey Wilson. Helen acepted me as a boarder, while I looked for a place to stay in 1979, working at the Goodrich Loomis Conservation Area. Tom was able to vaccinate a stray dog I found on said property, and "Loomis" became a trusted pet for over 13 years. I always remember your Mom's flaming red hair, and her kindness towards my situation. She is still probably cross country sking somewhere in Heaven!”
