It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold William Bettger in London, Ontario, born in Goderich, Ontario, who passed away on July 29, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Bettger and Jean Bettger; his wife Eva; his children, Pamela Bettger (Jules), Andrea Bettger (Mike), Jon Bettger (Nikoline) and Peter John Bettger; his grandchildren, Jacob, Samuel, Benjamin Estrin, Sadee, Jolliffe Mitchell and Zoe Sencindiver; his siblings, Peter Bettger, Mary Ellen Bird (Wayne) and Margo Bettger-Hahn (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Judy, Ivan Hunter, Pam Wicks and Becky Windhager. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be created to honour Bill's legacy in music education – details to follow.

“So sad to hear of Mr.. Bettgers passing. He was our music teacher at Westlane in Niagara Falls around 1970 until he moved to London . Everyone loved him. He introduced many of us to our first musical instrument (French horn) for me. He was truly inspiring. He will be missed.”
