He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Murray and Dorothy Murray; his siblings, Mary McDonald (John) and Jim Murray (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Doug Ireland (Vera) and Peg Harding (Jim).

He is survived by: his wife Joan Murray (Ireland); his children, Debbie Stokes (Ross), Nancy McLarty (Craig), Toni Hansford (Dave), Mark Murray and Dave Murray; his grandchildren, Leigh-Ann, Hansford, Chris Corrigan (Kat), Jennifer Hatch (Jason), Ashley McLarty and Aaron Stokes (Carlee); and his great grandchildren, Lily, Cole and Quinn.
