He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tony Franze (Carol) and Mary Montania (Joe); his siblings-in-law, Giovanni Zangari (Mary) and Cathy Palmieri (Tony); his parents, Frank Franze and Antonia Franze; and his in-laws, Giuseppe and Maria Antonia Zangari.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Franze; his children, Antonette Alves (Sergio) and Frank Franze (Bela); his grandchildren, Sienna, Mason, Audrina and Maddix; his siblings, Giulio Franze (Greta), Aggie Senese (late Tom) and Dominic Franze; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Maisano (late Antonio), Frances Fortese (Alfredo), Sam Zangari (Cathy), Frank Zangari (Martha) and Nick Zangari (Mriana). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home (362 Waterloo St, London, ON N6B2N6). A prayer was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (345 Lyle St, London, ON N5W3R3). An entombment will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Peter's Cemetery (806 Victoria St, London, ON N5Y4E1).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory made to the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners – Middlesex would be appreciated by the family.
