He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Westlake (Ted) and Mary Westlake (Creelman); his son Edward; his son-in-law Martin; his grandsons, Jonathon and Morgan; and his siblings, Ron, Doug and Sheila.

He is survived by: his wife Alice (Roberts); his children, Deborah, Darlene (Gary), Donna (Terry), Fred (Audrey), Elaine (Henry), Janice (Ian), Carol and Neil; and his siblings, Barbara (Gordie), Jackie, Diane (Joe) and Reg (Darlene). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren.

Donations in Fred's Memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Parkinson's Foundation.
