He is survived by: his spouse Lynn Varey (Smith); his children, Christopher Varey (Candice) and Shelley Bhabha (Rafiq); his grandchildren, Aneesa, Madison, Bryn, Mari and Sarah; his parents-in-law, Edward and Margaret Smith; his brother Doug Varey (Hazel); and his siblings-in-law, Doug, Lori Smith, Rick, Sharon Smith, Jim and Val Smith.
