In the sacred silence of farewell, Derek Todd is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Derek Todd's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Janes (Fowler) and Chesley Janes. He is survived by: his wife Sherri (Reynolds); his children, Katie and Thomas; and his siblings, Gladys Coish (Arnot) of Nova Scotia and Greg Janes (Rosa) of Ontario.

During the pandemic, Derek made sure to stay connected with his extended family through video chats, group chats, sharing recipes and jokes that brightened everyone's day.

Donations may be made in Derek's memory to V-Eh Veterans and Everyday Heroes or the Canadian Cancer Society.
