He was predeceased by: his wife Elaine; his parents, Philip Pensa and Enrichetta Pensa; and his siblings, Mary, Florence, Madeline and Philip.

He is survived by: his children, Christine (Blair Bowen), Victoria (Michael Stewart), Marc (Lisa) and Jonathan (Susan); his grandchildren, Emmett, Robert, Madison, Claudia, Allison, Emma, Monica, Francesca and Oscar; and his great grandchild Soultana. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
