He was predeceased by: his parents, George Weir and Edith Weir; his sister Donna Thomas (Henry); his sister-in-law Maxine Weir; and his close friend Charlie Boy.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his former wife Dawn Weir; his children, David and Cathy Gwalchmai (Bill); his grandchildren, Brad Gwalchmai (Heather) and Lisa Gwalchmai; his great grandchildren, Elaina, Gavin, Jayden, Owen and Quinn; his great great grandchild Rianne; his stepchildren, Jeff Bryant (Jenn), Craig Bryant (Katie) and Laura Sawa (Jeff); his grandchildren, Ella, Lucy, Gianna, Carter and Xyyra; and his brother John Weir.
