She was predeceased by: her mother Margaret; and her siblings, Paul Carter and Janet Carter. She is survived by: her daughters, Tanya Halfyard and Aimee; her grandchildren, Matthew Halfyard and Jayla Halfyard; her siblings, Beverley Carter, Philip Carter (Kathy) of Nanaimo, BC, Peggy Hopkins (Gary) of Pender Island, BC, Susan Brushett (Ray) of Newfoundland and Jacqueline Carter-Major (Rick) of St. John's; and her friend Carolyn. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in her large extended family.

Donations in her name can be made to the Sisters of Life, Holy Family Parish or the London Animal Care Centre.
