He was predeceased by: his wife Donnalda (Freer); his parents, Frederick Leslie Hodgins and Grace Elizabeth Hodgins (Fredenburg); and his sister Joyce Reid (Jack). He is survived by: his children, Shelly Hewitt (Paul) and Doug Hodgins (Tracy); his grandchildren, Brandon Hewitt and Emily Hodgins; his brothers, Carl (Caroline), Roy (Helene) and Ross (Marg); his in-laws, Wesley and Gladys Freer; and his sister-in-law Carol Diane Freer.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (1559 Fanshawe Park Rd E, London, ON N5X3Z9). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
