She was predeceased by: her sister Kathryn; her brother-in-law John; and her husband Gene. She is survived by: her sister Ruth; her brother-in-law Paul; her children, Heather (John), Ann and Geoffrey; her grandchildren, Erik, Jenny and Blythe; and her nieces, Pam, Wendy, Jen and Jill. She is also survived by extended family and many dear friends.

After a long journey with Alzheimer's disease, Barbara slipped away quickly in the company of her dedicated caregivers at McCormick Home.
