He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Day; his sister Pilar; his children, Sèphera Girón and Marcel Giron (Sanja Miklenic); and his grandchildren, Adrian Grant and Dorian Grant.

“Dear Sephera and Marcel: It is with shock and deep sadness that I have learned of the death of your Father! Both he and your Mother, Pat were VERY close to me, and we visited often when they were at their camp and we (my husband, Ken and I) could make it to Maine from Virginia. They came to the Bell house often, as well. We had some wonderful times!! What a lovely couple they were!! Your Mom was SO proud of you, Sephera, and gave me one of your books, too. My heart goes out to you all!! Joy Mair”
