He was predeceased by: his wife Alice; his parents, Cor and Albertje; and his siblings, Jacob, Tjitse (Jim) and Jeltje (Jill).
He is survived by: his siblings, Klaas, Christiaan, Rinske and Rinke; and his children, Betty (John), Kasey (Liz), Diane (Ralph) and Sharon (Jeff). He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
