It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Allan Ross Robinson (London, Ontario), who passed away on December 26, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Robinson and Jean Robinson (MacIntyre); and his brother Donald Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his children-in-law, Scott, John (Kim) and Jan Robinson-Welychka (Ed); his grandchildren, Ami Pethick (Adam), Kyle Robinson (Alanna Watt), Katie Robinson (Dean Myerscough), Kelsey Robinson (Sam Skalosky), Mitchell Robinson, Quinn Welychka (Laurel McGillis) and Brett Welychka (Karlee); his great grandchildren, Aya and Addy Pethick; his stepgreat-grandson Scott Siegers (Loni); his siblings-in-law, Carol and Peter Menzies; his nieces, Dianne Twynstra and Lori Hargreaves; his cousin Gail Haverty; his sister-in-law Maggie Robinson; and also, Weston and Josie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

“In loving memory of Allan Ross Robinson, Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. As we age we can look back on our lives and see how people we met affected it. Al was one of those people for me. I had finished my jr career and had few options… I came to Woodstock, made the team, and Al got me a job, and I made a life in Woodstock. Me being alone in town he and Doreen invited me to dinner a few times that year. So very kind. I will always cherish my memories of Al.”

“To the Robinson family, I am so very sorry to hear of Al s passing; I played hockey for the Brantford Alexanders, when we defeated Woodstock s Sr A team,and we always had great conversations during that series; as fate would have it, I ended up playing for AL and the Woodstock Gems Senior A team and being named Captain; Al was very instumental in keeping Senior hockey alive in Woodstock, as well as the Inter-Continental Hockey League; we refered to him as the Eagle,aftter Alan Eagleson,RIP Al”
