He was predeceased by: his parents, George Garrett and Edna Garrett (Fredin); and his parents-in-law, Hugh and Connie Semple (King). He is survived by: his wife Anne (Semple); his children, Chris, Thomas and Karen; his children-in-law, Julia Correia, Susan Luterte and Bryan Salt; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Kepler and Anneliese; his brother Brian Garrett (Linda Leverton); and his siblings-in-law, Dave Semple (late Janice), Sheila McCracken (Rob), Alex Semple (Sharon) and Bill Semple (Debbie).
