He was predeceased by: his sister Joan; and his parents, Martha Wabegijig (Mcleod-Shabogesic) and Charles Wabegijig. He is survived by: his children, Joe (Wanda) and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Phoenix, Aria, Trinity, Trillium and Finn; his siblings, Dolores (Jeff), Brenda and Terrence; and his godchildren, Robert Sutherland and Nicole Ominika. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and many special adopted parents and siblings.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Wikwemikong Recreational Centre. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Mission Church (2525 Wikwemikong Way, Wikwemikong, ON P0P2J0).
