She was predeceased by: her husband Wilmer "John" David Aelick; and her parents, Robert South and Grace. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Newson (Greg) and Kimberly Brander (Paul); and her grandchildren, Kyla Newson, Connor Newson (Robyn), Clayton Brander and Ryan Brander. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
