He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Mitchell and Alexander Mitchell; and his siblings, Shirley and Phyllis. He is survived by: his wife Muriel Jean "Pat" Mitchell; his daughter Judy Hales Mitchell; his granddaughter Janice Foster (Ed); his great grandchildren, Cole and Joshua Foster; and his sister Janet of Sudbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
