He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mennie and Nora Mennie (Widmeyer); his brother Lenard; his uncle Clayton; his aunt Dorothy Mennie; and his grandparents, Cecil, Rosa Mennie, Oscar and Christine Widmeyer.

He is survived by: his sister Wanda Mennie of Listowel; and his close friend Sheila Morgan.
