He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Cockwell and Olive Cockwell; his siblings-in-law, Nellie and Gordon Bell; and his siblings, Ruth, Ross, Percy, Mac and Vivian.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice (Bell); his children, Brian Cockwell (Debra), Bruce Cockwell (Janet) and Donna Jeske (Rob); his grandchildren, Nigel (Jessica), Jillian (Aaron), Alyssa (Evan), Kirstie (Greg), Taylor (Jordan) and Josh (Jenna); his great grandchildren, Harper and Landry; his brother Murray; and his siblings-in-law, Leon, Bette and Shirley.

Memorial donations may be made to the Atwood Lions Club, the Listowel Memorial Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
