He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Wood (Noble) and John James Wood (Jack); and his siblings, Ross, Clarence (Lucy), Ken (Joan), Murray Wood, Cora Breutigan (Porterfield), Minnie Buchanan (Alvin), Inez Simpson (Ralph), Verna, Helen Speiran (Bruce) and Bernice Woods (Bill).

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Wood (Lindsay); his children, Vicky Kaufman (Ron), John Wood (Beth) and Debbie Carter (Ron); his grandchildren, Alison (Ryan), Matt, Megan (Dave), Tara (Thomas), Natalie (Dan), Jessica (Jamie) and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Zach, Sage, Arlo and Nathan; and his sister-in-law Maureen Wood (Skip).
