He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonia Mettler and Sebastian Mettler. He is survived by: his wife Anne; his son Michael Mettler of Germany; his stepchildren, Rick Clarke (Carin), Scott Clarke (Rasha), Donna Smyth (Steve) and Melissa Gervais; and his sisters, Antonia of Austria, Marianne of Austria and Marlena of Austria.
