He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Sutherland and Glenn Sutherland; and his sister Mary Thurston. He is survived by: his wife Roma; his children, Jamie (Janice) of London and Mike (Charlenne) of Kanata; his grandchildren, Anna Rose, Jimmy, Olivia and Lily; his sibling Clare Jaksic (Joe) of Ottawa; and his brother-in-law Eric Thurston of Ottawa.
