He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen Hellyer and Walter Hellyer; his former wife Elaine'Percy'Hellyer; his brother Ian Hellyer (Ruth); and his parents-in-law, Elwood, Florence Howe and Frank Koebel.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Jeff (Jody) of Hepworth, Greg (Amy) of Chatsworth, Angela Wells (Matt) of London, Ryan Reid of Stokes Bay and Jessica Reid (Tyler Hewton) of Stokes Bay; his grandsons, Ethan, Wyatt, Joel, Percy and Walter; and his brothers, Ken Howe (Doreen) and Murray Howe (Irene). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM.

Expressions of remembrance to Lion's Head Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation would be appreciated.
