He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmon Rouse and Jean Rouse (Bartley) of Hanover. He is survived by: his wife Jenny; his children, Aaron (Terri) of South Australia and Andrea (Paul) of South Australia; his siblings, Sharon Adams (Brian) of Hanover and Ed Rouse (Kerry) of Durham; and his nephews, Cory Adams (Heidi) and Jason Adams (Crystal).

In Dwight's memory, memorial donations can be made to Saugeen Valley Conservation Area for the planting of a Tree.
