He was predeceased by: his son Darren (Kim); and his brothers, Bob Hughes and David Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Sis" Hughes; his children, Lisa Jilesen (John), Bryan Hughes (Karen), Tim Pilon, Jim Thompson (Susan) and Cindy Thompson (Gord); his grandchildren, Marc, Dylan, Alex, Shaylee, Tyler, Kyla, Laura, Adam, Lucas, Nolan, Ryan, Jackson, Leandra and Shae-Lyn; and his siblings, Pat Batcules (late Jim), Tiny Fell (Don), Brian Hughes (Marlene), Susan Barriball (Ron) and Joanne Harvey (Reg). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
If desired, a memorial donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Kawartha Lakes which would be appreciated by the family.
