He was predeceased by: his brothers, Brian and Kevin. He is survived by: his wife Courtney; his children, Cindy Newhouse (Nicole), Chris Mitchell (Eliza) and Jessica Mitchell (Jordan); his grandchildren, Lily, Izzy and Cohen; his parents, Gloria Bales and Edward Mitchell; his parents-in-law, Shelley Ferguson-Fee and Gary Ferguson; his siblings, Debbie Mitchell, Kent Mitchell, Kalvin Mitchell (Darlene), Darlene Donaldson (Randy), Ed Mitchell and Colin Mitchell (Jeanine); and his sister-in-law Carissa Ferguson (Kyle).

Memorial donations towards his son Morgan's education fund can be made through Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay.
