He was predeceased by: his mother Maxine Slater; his wife Donna R. Slater; and his son Mark Slater. He is survived by: his children, Lori Sudsbear (John Sudsbear) and Richard Scott Slater (Colleen Slater); his granddaughter Jessica Sudsbear (Aaron Ackles); his son Justin Sudsbear (Rosie Rankin); and his great grandchildren, Declan Sudsbear-Ackles and Mary Jane Rankin.
