He was predeceased by: his parents, Margareta (Rempel) and Jacob; his siblings, Edmund (Anna), Henry, Louise (Jacob), Tena (Bernie), Toni (George), Nellie (Martin) and Maria; and his siblings-in-law, Jake and Hilda (Peter).
He is survived by: his wife Lydia (Rempel); his children, Alfred (Janet), Arnold (Lorna), Marlene (Michael), Anna and Jean (Mark); his grandchildren, Craig (Danielle), Shawn (Emily), Carrie, Ian (Melodie), Nika, Simon and Aaron; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Emmeline and Adaline; his siblings, Theresa and Jake (Elizabeth); and his siblings-in-law, Nelly, Christine and Helmut (Inge). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends and coffee group friends.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made by cheque to Mennonite Central Committee, Leamington Mennonite Home, or Windsor Essex Cancer Centre Foundation.
