He was predeceased by: his spouse Hedi; his siblings, Barbara Houchen (late Edward), Donna Bolton (late William), Robert Derbyshire (late Judy) and Harold Derbyshire; and his nephew Aaron Siddall.

He is survived by: his children, Joseph Derbyshire, Eric Derbyshire (Angela) and Heather Derbyshire; his grandchildren, Ethan and Evan; his siblings, William Derbyshire (late Norma), Joanne Siddall (Ian Griffin) and Douglas Derbyshire (Linda Inglis); his sibling-in-law Traude (Karl); and his daughter Carol Laliberte (Ron). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
