Jean Frances Gilbert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Frances Gilbert of Leamington, Ontario, who passed away on July 12, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Glen Gilbert; her children, Lynn Fleet (late Bill) and Carol Mitchell; her grandson David Dorland; her brothers, David Bonnett (late Betty) and Jack Bonnett (late Agnes); and her siblings-in-law, Jean Jones (late Gerald), Murray Gilbert (late Shirley), Nora Herbert (late Perc), Eldon Gilbert (late Mary) and Velma Rose (late Ken).

She is survived by: her children, Beverley McLarty (Ivan) and Dianne Merkley (Kevin); her grandchildren, Michael Dorland (Thea), Dylan Mitchell (Ashley), Savannah Mitchell (Mike), Abby Mitchell and Wyatt Merkley (Nicole); her great grandchildren, Danika and Brady; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Ellen (late Bert), Dick Gilbert (Ruth) and Evelyn Patterson (late Ross). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in Jean's memory may be made (payable by cheque) to the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent or The Leamington Mennonite Home Long Term care center.
