She was predeceased by: her spouse Luis; her child Joe Tavares; and her siblings, Maria Mariano (Antonio), Mariana Rocha (Antonio), Antonio Ernesto (Natalia), Manuel Ernesto, Joao Ernesto, Joaquim Dacamara and Joe Ernesto (Maria).

She is survived by: her child Teresa Tavares (Doug Travene); her grandchildren, Allan (Ashley), Luca and Nikolas; her sibling Teresa Demelo (Joao); and her siblings-in-law, Tony Tavares (Maria), Margarida Ernesto, Gilda Ernesto and Teresa Dacamara. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
